SILKSCREEN
or
SERIGRAPH

In this example of a silkscreen—Land, Sea and Sky, 9” x 12”, by Alfred James Wands—you can see some useful points.
Colors are “flat” and solid, rather than textured, and each area has its own crisp edge. Silkscreen printing has notably been used for rock-and-roll show posters and t-shirts, where the sharp-edged and vivid colors are used to advantage. (These enlargements have been blown-up from a small photo-file and aren’t as truly clear and crisp as we’d like. Our apologies.)
